Hi Astro, what type of scope do you have. have we talked before, I can't remember....

hi gary,

yes we have,i remember you,i have a few scopes, one being a 6'' f/8 apo refractor ,do you still have an interest ? great to hear from you, kevin

Yes, I am limited to a small scopes now, I did a Nice Takahashi FCT-100 but it was to heavy to lift, had to sell it.
I did pick up a little Orion 102mm Apex. Actually I am quite surprised as to how well it resolves & has good contrast.

How do you move that 6" refractor?

i have my scope/mount on a dolly system to move out of my garage,i am a fan of maksutuv-cassegrains,the apex would be a nice lunar/planetary double star scope and more, you could make a nice list of double stars for autumn, and follow the phases of the moon..see you around

I am too an amateur astronomer. Living in a very light polluted country with a tight budget. I use a meade ETX-70 refractor. As weird as it sounds the targeting computer is useful.

I could buy a better one but i have no car so why bother.

:)

i like the name daedalus, a future starship ? jupiter will be around after christmas in the evening sky but here in canada it will be the heart of winter, not sure what its like in brussels at that time of year but i will have to bundle up,great to see another amateur astronomer too bad about tinnitus though but staying positive

Hi daedalus, what are the odds, three astronomers posting in a row here. Astronomical(n)
My eyes are must be getting worse. I thought the thumbs down icon I put in at the end of my post was someone scratching their head trying to figure out something.
