Cause of Tinnitus
Not really sure...Bad ear infection?
I ate a load of sugary stuff at a party. And a sound inside of my left ear is a little louder (it existed for a long time but it never really bothered me until now.) Also my ear kind of hurts...ish. I can hear perfectly though.

Do you think it'll settle?

I've gotta assume the mix of sugary stuff/being at a party (pretty loud there right?) probably caused a spike. stay away from loud places for a bit if you can to give your ears a chance to rest

It will probably be temporary. Are you sure this wasn't caused by the noises you had been exposed to during that party?

If there was music it can spike, I don't think it was sugar stuff. Hopefully, your spike won't last, try things that make your mind better for a while. Early on my spikes came and went. But I would read about protecting your ears from music / noise from this site. You don't want to damage further.

Sugar and caffeine make mine spike also, but after about two to three hours, the volume drops.

Salt and sugar can spike tinnitus for some people and it should settle over the weekend.
love glynis

Yes,

Just be careful, if you overthink too much about it, you will insist that your T is still loud when it is not, when it already settled in the previous level.

Best,

Sugar laden deserts spiked my tinnitus too. From almost zero to very high right away, soon after i ate something that contains many teaspoons of sugar. You can imagine how upset i was.
It will go down eventually if you behave. No more excesses in sugar, if you care about yourself. I know, it sucks to watch what you eat, but this is how our life is.

Eh, even if you have T or not. You still gotta watch what you eat. Or else you will get unhealthy.

Your T will probably settle down after a few days or so, sugar has effects on the nervous system, but loud noise is much more important to avoid.

btw
you seem like a cool guy judging by your questionable lewd emoji profile pic. We have a thread for cool people like you that also suffer from tinnitus called "My Posting Place" started by @threefirefour

M.P.P is a thread that openly encourages dank meme enthusiasm so feel free to check us out.

We also have a public policy that encourages more scientific research on tinnitus and hearing loss instead of accepting habituation.
