I read about a therapy named Auriculotherapy (acupuncher). I tried to find out on it in the forum but there are no discussions I found.

It's published on 2009. Anybody has experience with it?

Hello, I live not far away from you and I want to try this therapy. 2 auriculotherapists are in Annecy. One worked before in Geneva and seems very serious. But I must stop before my withdrawal of anxiol, which created my very severe T+H because they increase and another cure has no sense for the moment before stabilisation of my nervous system (That's why I stopped tinnitus sophrologue). Do you know there's a good sophrologue (tinnitus specialisation) in Chambery? If your t is not too heavy, it can help you.

Auriculotherapy is acupuncture in the ear in order heal many diseases of all the body. It's a very old therapy (they did it in Egypt at the time of the pharaons). All traditional therapies in all over the world consider that three part of the body are in relation with all the body: feet, "reins" (I don't know the name in english) and ears. A french doctor, auriculotherapist, wrote a book on this therapy and there's a drawing which shows that the ear looks like an "embryon" (baby inside the mother) upside down. Dr Tomatis (he created a method against tinnitus, I'm not sure it's very successful but he was successful to help children who couldn't speak) says that the baby inside his/her mother is just a giant ear, hearing informations from the mother. I red these informations in the book "Human body symbolism" written by Annick de Souzenelle.

Bonjour andreus, feel happy to get someone near chambery. no, I never seen with a sophrologue who is work for tinnitus. But I know there have a sophrologue centre. Last Friday I had an appointment with a BIOKINERGISTE at Aix-les brains. She did something manipulations by finger on acupanchers point of body. And she said may be I need another some session which could be helpful. I don't know of the future but have to try everything we could, every moment of life is more and more costly than a pice of diamond.
God bless u.

Bonjour,
I think that the sophrologist in Chambery was one of the firsts (may be the first) to create tinnitus exercices because she had tinnitus and it really helped her. So try this sophrologue especially. 17 years ago, I had my first tinnitus because of noise exposure (rock concert) and it vanished away after 3 monthes thanks of a therapist (energeticien) in Grenoble after 1 session (or may it would have vanished away alone, I don't know but I had eyes problems which vanished too after 3 sessions). I tried too 2 "guérisseurs" but it failed but the first one could change the sound (made it better) of a man's tinnitus I know. I can give you the names of these people if you want. Yes, try everything you can when you have enough energy to do it. For me, my t is so high pitches with 4 noises and my H so heavy (all noises hurt me; i can't have anymore a shower! I can't phone anymore) that every minute of my life is a nightmare (I can't work anymore) and it increases every day or week. No more taste in life and I just try to reach the end of the day. I try to stay positive, reading successful story or books as "la force de l'espoir" ("The anatomy of hope") written by J. Groopman, a doctor specialized in cancers. I can still read...for the moment.

Bonjour, really sorry to hear u r straggling with t very badly. I m suffering T since November 2016. It began in my ears but after one month always I feel this in my head with 2/3 tones. I hv a loud hissing t which appear 3/4 days in a week and this sound is very uncomfortable I can't support me anyhow. I also have a problem in my left eye when I go to sleep it makes inflammation with pulpitition. I asked my GP as well he said it's about my depression. I don't know why doctors turn everything to depression!! The scientists could make so powerful bomb to destroy the earth but they r not capable to do something for us. Nobody try to understand how we r living. Really it makes me very upset. Anyway, Could u pls PM me the name and if possible his/her number as u offered. Thanks and best of luck.

Bonsoir. Fotunatel,y you don't have any H. The name of the energeticien is Mr Daolio in Lancey (northern suburb of Grenoble). His number is 0476130069. He helped my brother too (Parkinson). I should consult him last autumn but I had to cancel becaus I can't drive so far away now. May be you will need several consultations. The "guérisseur" in Manigod near La Clusaz is called Mr Astruz. You'll find his number in the White pages. I think there are good tinnitus doctors in Lyon (hôpital Edouard Herriot) because 2 of them are in the scientific committee of France Acouphènes (French Tinnitus Association). Don't go to Lyon Sud Hospital: they say there's an acouphène specialization. I had an appointment and it was useless (very fast and the doctor only wanted me to have an IRM but I didn't because it's too noisy for my ears and useless because of the story of my tinnitus). In Lausanne you can try neurostimulation (Dr Mudry). I think it's better than TRT but it's expensive (6000 Euros). I agree with you: it's incredible nobody could find a solution. I don't understand because it's a giant market for business. A start up was recently created in the south of France to discover a treatment for T and H with 15 employees. Do you know too there's a famous hospital in Marseille for tinnitus: La Timone?

Bonjour andreus, how r u today? Thank u dear sir for ur all informations. I noted and wish to see Mr. Daolio asap I could. It's a big problem when we need to go for therapy, they don't except Carte mutuelle, further, can't working, the money of RSA is not enough to do something to be better. I m demanded a dossier to MDPH to get a work handicap but my doctor said tinnitus is not actually like a handicap. Yes, because I can walk n talk, I can move, I can sit, can listen, so how could i get a work of handicap, no? They all stupid need to have an experiance of t minimum for 1 month and then I wish to listen from them " how disturbance it could be". Before t I had no dépressions but after I got this really i m so depressed of thinking what is my future, how do I will take care my family! Really nobody understand, they well understand abt cancer, aids or another stuff, some times I wish very much to suicide myself, no, i couldn't coz of my parents my wife. I pray everyday to god please give us a way to live in silence because this life we are living is more painful than the hell.

Depression: do you take antidépresseurs?
Yes at the beginning when I hv seen my GP is given me antidepresseur medicine as he always think I hv tinnitus cause of depression or cold. I took this useless medicine for abt 4 months continously then stoped. I didn't feel good at all. I took ginkgo biloba also which helped a little to reduce the sound of t.
By the way, thanks for ur kind reply. I like and feel respect to u as u r an army person. To job in military was my dream in my student life. Unfortunately, I was disqualified without any reason. bonne santé.

No, I never heard abt this hospital before. I see just now on Google but don't understand correctly how they do this treatment for tinnitus as I can speak French( not very good) but I hv problem to read. Tomorrow if possible I will print out the page and will show my French language teacher. Merci

Hello,
very bad day as the others: no pleasure in life and every noise I can't bear anymore. I will have a very small walk tonight when there's no noise danger. I can't go anymore in the wood near my house: too much noise with birds, my feet on the leaves...it's a nightmare and I know, as you, what are suicidal ideas. But I have a wife and two children very successfully in their studies (my young daughter was accepted last friday in a very good classical dancing school in Marseille and my son will become a physician: he's a student in a very famous university, EPFL, one of the best in the world in Lausanne). Habituation is difficult when T and H increase every week...
Don't admire me because I was a soldier: it was military service (no choice) and the army created my T.: I don't like army. A friend's son was a US soldier (snipper) in Afghanistan and somewhere else. He's no more in the army but he came back with serious psychiatric problems because of the war. He's not happy anymore.
If you go and meet Mr Daolio, you must pay 60 Euros. Tell him its Christian Persoud (my real name) who sent you to him and tell him my life in an nightmare because of T and H. Your mutuelle can pay a part of the consultation (ask for a bill).
Don't ask a dossier to MdpH for tinnitus but for depression; you must have an appointment with a psychiatric or your generalist in Chambery who will say you have a severe depression. The first thing to ask your doctor is to have "une demande de prise en charge a 100% pour maladie de longue durée" in order not to have any more to pay anything for the doctor and drugs in relation with depression.
In these T hospitals, they can propose you, may be, audioprothesists solutions, drugs as ritrovil...no miracle but may be it can help. I think there are T specialists inGgrenoble hospitals: have a look on internet. I met one in a clinic in Grenoble (nothing to pay): he didn't help me but it could be different for you.
I find today an information about a woman (audioprothesist) who created a very successful therapy for H in the west of France. But it's 6000 Euros...
I hope we will have better days in the future.

Bonsoir, I can feel how u passing every second as u have H also. I have only t and with this I m in hell for all day and night, i couldn't think if I will get also H. I heared that H is more dangerous than t. I need to go for another 2 season with BIOKINERGISTE in Aix-les-Bains and then I will contact with Mr. Daolio. Thanks for the reference of u. Tomorrow I have one appointment with my GP, so I shall tell him as u advised.

Pray and Awaiting to know ur progress. Best of luck of u and ur family.

Bonsoir,
yes: T and H that means no rest. Both of them are unbearable when they are loud.
I hope you will know better days too; you'r young and it's easier to adapt to your problem if you don't find a solution. Time is on your side. I hope it's on my side too but every day is so depressing...Mr Daolio was a miracle for my tinnitus in 2000. But he can't do everytime a miracle. For my eyes problems, I could find two times a solution. May be i'm too pessimistic. But I never knew such a nightmare in my life.

I guess you are talking about the "0REBLUE" protocol.
The webpage states:
"Aujourd'hui, après 20 années d'inlassables recherches, Natacha CHETRITT-BONNEYRAT, a conçu la méthode permettant de supprimer irrévocablement l'hyperacousie dans 100% des cas, et les acouphènes dans 62%* des cas.

*(dans l'avancement actuel de la méthode, il est observé pour les 38% restant , une diminution significative de l'intensité et/ou de la durée d'exposition aux acouphènes pour 31% des cas, et une insuffisance de résultats dans les 7% résiduels)."

For those who aren't fluent in French, it means the method has a 100% success rate for H, and 62% success rate for T, as in complete cure/remission.
The % remainder for T is split as:
31% corresponds to a significant reduction in intensity and/or exposure to T
... the last 7% are cases that aren't satisfactory.

About the 7%: it's not clear whether it's because they didn't collect the results appropriately or the results were there but they weren't satisfactory. French is ambiguous there, and the context doesn't offer a clear disambiguation, although I suspect it's the latter.

At any rate, those are impressive numbers, quite hard to believe. It also seems like it's a sound therapy.

It seems to be the work of an audiologist who used to practice in the city of Saintes, who is opening this new center.
I couldn't find much independent data available for this treatment though: just one (positive) anecdotal evidence on a French forum...

Yes, it's a sound therapy and this woman is an an audiologist. I couldn't find independent information too. I had the same problem with the lightning process which says they can improve many problems as T by helping you to make new connections in the brain. I bought the book but it's good marketing: no precision. You must go for a session (3 mornings and 500 Euros).

Just to feed this thread. I tried Auriculotherapy twice with a GP graduated in Auriculotherapy.
First time with needles, second time with nitrogen liquid.
No effect on tinnitus, no side effect.

Concerning the two other subjects : MDPH and OREBLUE (for which there is no specific threads in this forum).

MDPH : I got the "Reconnaissance Qualité de Travailleur Handicapé (RQTH)" status after filling a form and following an appointment with a Doctor in November 2013, due to tinnitus AND depression (I am still taking AD). To me, it is available until november 2018 and renewable every five years.

OREBLUE : according to this link from a french forum (in which I am registered)
http://www.info-acouphenes.com/
there are some testimonials about this cure (scams ?), some patients are currently being treated. (browse this site by yourself because information is scattered). As far as I know, there is no official study done (with peer review) about this treatment.

Hi frederic, if I m correct I have seen some of ur post on a French forum. Could u pls tell me abt MDPH as I hv demanded for "Reconnaissance Qualité de Travailleur Handicapé"and I did this demand which already 2 months hv passed , so how much time it will take to get their response? Still I don't get any updates from them. My GP also mentioned the same physical or mental conditions like u. Since November 2016 I m taking medications for depressions and sleep. But unfortunately me or my GP, ENT nobody know the real cause of my T...lol.

Hello Bidyut.
Sorry I just found your post today.
Sorry I don't remember exactly the time lapse between the sent of my application and the appointment with the MDPH's doctor, maybe a few months, not much.
Did you have an appointment with the MDPH's doctor ?
I remember that I received the "notification" 2 weeks after the appointment.
I would recommand you to call the MDPH to see if there is an update about your case.
