Beware of Your Ear Being Slapped...

I dont mean it spiked for 3 days and then went down again.
It kinda got progressivly louder over 3 days and hasnt gone down for 2 weeks now
That's rough.

I had had spikes that hadn't gone down for close to a month and then began fading after 4-6 weeks and took over three months to fade. Hopefully your case will be similar...

Summer's in full force where I am at and that means mosquitoes. Last night, as I was trying to fall asleep, there were a few in my room. Because I was under a blanket they could only land on my head, and I was on the side. One landed near my ear and without thinking twice, I tried to slap it with my kind of cupped hand. I did it pretty forcefully and missed the mosquito, but nailed my left ear pretty good, it is my much worse ear.

Luckily I didn't hit the ear spot on, it was very close to it though, I could feel the air whooshing out of my ear as the hand landed. I did get a new low tone straight away after the slap but it subsided fast. This morning things seem to be mostly normal. I got really lucky. Straight after the incident I thought of this thread and how stupid I had been, also how lucky. I had read many threads about tinnitus from ear slaps but in the moment, half asleep, didn't think of making the connection with slapping mosquitoes myself. Just putting this out there, maybe it'll help prevent something similar.
