Stumbled across this study. Interesting they specifically mention sensorineural tinnitus. It appears to be an MAO-I.
In a pilot study to investigate the clinical effect of Celeport® on tinnitus, we administered 3 tablets per day (150 mg in 3 divided doses after meals) for longer than 8 weeks to 45 patients (53 ears) with sensorineural tinnitus.

Celeport® was effective in 64.4% of the patients, a much higher rate of effectiveness than that of any other drug. Improvement was observed in all age groups.

The efficacy of Celeport® was also suggested by the following: (1) in all 45 patients, improvement of the hearing level at 1 kHz and/or 2 kHz accompanied the reduction of tinnitus at the same pitch; (2) the intensity of tinnitus was reduced after Celeport® administration in 10 patients who had received an antianxiety medication or a tranquilizer, although there was no reduction of symptoms; (3) there was no significant difference in the effectiveness of this drug in these 10 patients and in the other 35 patients who received only Celeport®.

We conclude that Celeport® may be a very useful remedy for sensorineural tinnitus.

Saw that lol. But I would NOT put it past the tinnitus research community to have cured this thing 30 years ago and have it sitting on a shelf somewhere in Japan. It may sound a little harsh saying so, but so is my tinnitus ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
