Blurry, Double Vision Freaking Me Out — Could It Be a Brain Tumour?

I have seen opthamology. I asked about blood pressure. She said that the OCT scan would have seen inflammation if that was the cause and it isn't.

I do have hypertension. It started around the same time as all this. Not massively high. 160/100.

Readings between 160/110 and 160/100 indicate Stage 2 Hypertension.

It would be common sense to consider both quotes above.

Research: Hypertension and eye problems: Many articles about this. Note the delay actions mentioned in this article.

"Initially, hypertension eye problems can be subtle. At first, nothing more than the narrowing of arteries will be visible (to the eye doctor). But over time, elevated blood pressure can lead to more severe findings in the retina. And the only way to treat the eye problems is to treat the hypertension."

No one can say for sure if one did not have a brief, sudden hypertension moment.

I'm absolutely lost now. I went the hospital again today. The doctor told me there are no more tests that can be done and sent me away.
I then went to opticians again and tried some new lenses which were ok at first then kept going blurred. Opticians say they need changing slightly.
I've felt so spaced out today. It's awful.
Got to get back to work week on Friday.
Can't imagine what that is going to be like considering how bad I feel.

Are you sure it was 170/110?
What did the doctor say about that?

Use Google, Edge or by other search and do this:
Place - Blood Pressure 170/110 - into search.
Sites will show your exact reading in title - open site(s) and read details about this reading.

Whenever there's eye problems or thumping sounds - hypertension may be present.

When you saw the Dr, did you specifically ask them about any of the suggestions that have been made on this post?

If so, are they going to investigate hypertension/your vestibular ocular reflex etc?

Or did they give you justification for why it isn't any of the above?

No. The only route the doctors are going down now is mental health.
They think I'm imagining it all.
This is so frustrating.
Can barely see to type this today.

I've had just about the same thing happening to me over the past several months. Starting with extreme difficulty seeing - double, blurry vision. I can barely see a computer screen any more, words double or shimmer, and I have increasingly bad visual snow.

About 2 months after the onset of all this, high pitched 13 khz chronic tinnitus in both ears. I barely can sleep and have been off work.

Turns out I have Lyme disease, diagnosed through a doctor and IGENEX test. Unfortunately it's not the easiest thing to get rid of, I'll probably be let go from my job. Not sure what to do either.
