Maybe Dec 2015 - the buzz was low prior
Cause of Tinnitus
Diet or TMJ Jaw Inflammation and Clenching??
Hi everyone- I wanted to share this. As part of my TMJ treatment my dentist recommended I go to Cervical Chiro that specializes in the top 2 vertebrae, C1 C2, I went there today.

I received a video motion Xray and he found that my c1 c2 does not move properly while neck is rotated forward (anterior) and down, it's was obvious. however it does move ok when going backward (posterior) .

He first used a hand held air/pressure tool hooked up to a computer to test baseline, tested by interference , then gently pulsated pressure bursts with a small tool on every cervical vert. The computer stopped it when it's sensed lateral LR balance, so he could not over correct. This was all seen his screen in realtime and 2nd test was more even. This machine was not brand new. He wants me to come in for 2 weeks (4 visits more). That's easy. Unlike my other Chiro who said I had a lifetime of corrective care and healing ahead of me. Luckily my insurance pays to a limit, and it's a $35 copay.

A lot of variability after in the T, no flare ups. The buzz appears to be very different on each side, quite down more, and it did some crazy abrupt stop when I was sitting down in my right ear going to a straight tome.

I'll post more when I wake up.

I'm encouraged but I'm so over this I don't know what to think but I'm living my life , love life, and care a lot the f$%k less about all this.

I wanted to give some hope for those that this may be the solution, they're just seeing the wrong Chiro. So focus on the neck. I got T around the time of a loud concert, but also stress, computer use, stomach sleeping, and clenching bc of invisalign. And it's gotten a lot lot better. And I've lost weight and feel good.

I'll post tmrw how loud the stupid buzzing is.

And thank you to the people here that have posted hopeful stories. You are awesome good people for coming back and sharing. Power to the positive.

love and peace- ryan

  • C1, C2, and C3 (the first three cervical nerves) control the head and neck, including movements forward, backward, and to the sides. These nerves also play key roles in breathing. The C2 dermatome handles sensation for the upper part of the head, and the C3 dermatome covers the side of the face and behind the head. (C1 does not have a dermatome.)

@ 1st wake it seems to be quieter, the rest of the morning bring more variability, feeling hopeful. - ryan
Does your neck crack quite a lot Ryan? All my family have commented on how loud my jaw and neck cracks when I stretch them, this came on AFTER I developed T and H that I believe is from noise exposure so I don't know if it's playing a role in my symptoms or not.

If I'm exposed to a louder noise my jaw constricts tightly followed by loud cracks and snaps when I stretch it,same with my neck.

Quietist day on record yesterday.

bill 112 - my neck use to crack more, finally found out it was some adjustments, exercises and controlling inflammation. It cracks less t.

Agree joseph Ghass however for to a cervical or c1,c2 specialist chiro for that 1st exam.

Yep, specialized in neck.

I have been screaming for months here that by checking your nerve supply, get into an anti-inflammatory diet, exercise and have a good sleep will beat T. But they are flooded with misleading info.

Really? You are all cured? Hanging around for moral support?
To me, you are misleading by your post. I do everything you mention and am probably in the top 1% for age in terms of cardio fitness...maybe top .5%.

What u are doing exactly?
I am stating that you can do all you say and not change tinnitus.

So I believe you mislead people if you suggest following your suggestions will improve tinnitus.
Your suggestions may or may not help tinnitus. Preying to the great tooth fairy may do more good. Yes, your suggestions are directionally correct to good overall health.
A person can be in excellent health like I am and still have tinnitus.
To me chiropractors are largely quacks. In fact, they can introduce grave danger to a person by so called subluxation.
When I first contracted tinnitus I went to an osteopath MD and he adjusted my neck. No improvement.
Let us know if you are cured by your suggestions.

Trying to provide research info for all, I just started this treatment and sharing information out of kind-ness. I did not say it would cure all, people get T for a multitude of reasons thus a multitude of solutions may be required for success. And never said I was fixed. This is a treatment area of the forum, not the success story area. I'm sorry if you felt mislead @stophiss

I'm 4 visits in (C1,C2 adjustments), and every day after is a loud spike , ear pressure, muscle pain, high pitch, the day after it quiets down and is a lot less dis-comforting, somethings changing. I've had my quietest day under this treatment. The Chiro digital read-outs are showing good progress and my neck cracks less and has more mobility without the pulling feeling around my ears.

I'll keep posting my results for research.

@leah farr yes I do have intermitttent pain with T.

@ryand are you making progress with your treatments?

I really want to see a cervical chiro but none in this country I'm living in at the moment.

My T started during Invisalign too. Not saying it was the cause because there were a multitude of things during that time that may have started it - ear wax, bruxism, bad neck issues, intense stress, working in front of a computer everyday etc etc.
