Can a Low-Decibel but High-Frequency Tone Trigger Tinnitus?

Some time ago I visited a coastal city in mainland China and went to club - with ear plugs and that was before my current T level and acoustic trauma.

The sound level inside those Chinese clubs was beyond insane - nothing like any clubs I visited in the western world in 30 years.

Young people were there standing for hours on looking bored and playing with their iPhones all the time...I could not last 10 minutes at a time with earplugs on.

No doubt there there will be a new generation of hearing loss and T sufferers out of China in the near future.
 
thanks, im struggling with finding a cause of my t. it sucks not knowing but its been about 3 months of the same. i think im habituating. thanks for the replies.
 
its hard to find a clinic that can test higher than 8000hz so perhaps you have some HF loss hidden much higher than what can be tested - causing the high pitched T
