I realized that prior to my spike from last night I took 750mg Calcium (because of the prednisolone I am (or was) taking). I kinda remember that Ca+ channels are supposed to play a role in tinnitus so might a higher Ca+ intake cause a spike maybe?

I'm not totally sure but dairy, such as yogurt and milk, spikes my tinnitus the worst and they both have calcium. I never thought it could be calcium but who knows.

I would doubt it though everyone is different. I've been taking Tums for years which has tons of calcium in it with no problems.

I believe you should make sure you also get enough magnesium too. I space out when I eat calcium rich foods or supplements and when I take mag as apparently they can compete for absorption, but both are important for each other.
