Can it go away completely? Is it possible?

Dear Doctor,

This is a question that you would have encountered a zillion times from tinnitus sufferers. Can it really go away ? But I am wondering can it really go away COMPLETELY and our ears become normal like before without even the slightest hiss? What do you think Sir? Have you heard about or read about or met any people whose tinnitus went away completely after any amount of time ? Will that minute biological damage always remain no matter how less the volume becomes overtime and prevent the T from going away completely?

Yes.

But even if that does not happen - even if your ears are not quite as they were before - your life can be even better than it was before. Mine is.
