I started using Klonopin everyday for tinnitus sometime in 2010 or 2011. At first it seemed to lower the tinnitus and helped me deal with it pretty well.

Near the end of 2012, I seemed to be a little more bothered by tinnitus ( couldn't hear some parts of voices on TV with background music on TV and had to ask people to turn up the TV volume and a few months into 2013 I got really depressed and anxious about something, the tinnitus seemed be very loud and I took Klonopin and it did not seem to lower my perception of tinnitus.

I got very, very depressed and almost had a nervous breakdown at work. I had to go out and get hearing aids with maskers to be able to deal with it better. I had tinnitus for about 6 or 7 years prior with small periods of annoyance but never anything like this.

The longest continuous time I have gone since then without tinnitus bothering me is about 3 weeks. Other times it really bothers me and other times it is annoying.

Part of the tinnitus in my left ear is unmaskable and was unmaskable before Klonopin use but prior to klonopin my tinnitus only seemed to get real loud during highly depressed states or when I would take a certain supplement and then reduce.

Right now I am taking something for depression and hoping it evens out my moods because some days it is no big deal and other days it is.

I will have to tell you all I have suffered depression many years before tinnitus so part of my problem is depression but I really feel if I did not have tinnitus I would be okay for probably at least 85% of the time now.

I never increased Klonopin use and am scared to so I don't know if increasing it would lower it even though my doctor probably would allow it.
