INTRO:
I have recently developed tinnitus out of the blue and it's been doing a bang up job of ruining my health, mental & physical. I am wondering if anyone can help me, this forum has lots of info! Doctor has not been helpful she told me to get used to it point blank, oh boy did that hurt. I was told there was fluid in the ear but that cleared up and was given pseudoephedrine which did nothing.

NOW:
I am rapidly losing hope. I have had the noise for about one month, it has not improved. I gave acupuncture a shot but it is a waste of time and money, mumbo jumbo. I've always had that erratic beep that happens in your ear and it disappears after like 3 or seconds- this was always my understanding of tinnitus, not I have a constant noise in both ears... but I think its dominant on my right side of head. I hear it in my head, so plugging my ears even to sleep (lol sleep whutsthat) I can hear it full blast.

CONCLUSION:
I am suffering greatly especially from anxiety and lack of sleep. I did not have an acoustic trauma or a blow to the head, and my doctor confirmed there was no tumor. I am taking the supplements recommended HERE (NAC, B12, ginkgold bilboa). My hearing tested good according to my ENT, who refered me to a sympathetic Dr. of Audiology. Also confirmed good hearing. I am at a loss.

Forgive my bad doodle (I am Captain Jack after all) below but if I do that with my head my tinnitus gets a little louder, like squeals. Does this mean anything to.. anybody? Any advice?

Captain Jack

As difficult as it is to hear you doctor tell you that you have to learn to live with it, it is true. And you have to be creative, think outside the box. Do anything you can to distract yourself from the sounds. It may or may not get better, but you will learn to live with it. I've had it 7 years now and and while it's still annoying and distracting, I've learned to accept the fact that I have this and I need to deal with it.
