Can Summer (Hot Weather) Make Hyperacusis Worse?

It's hot here in the UK and I have been wondering: Can the heat be making my hyperacusis more troublesome?

I've been trying to keep hydrated more, but it just seems to be paining me.

Also, how does everyone try to keep cool during the hot weather? I can't even leave windows open without the fear of noise and then my tinnitus reacts to the noise of a fan. It's like I can't keep cool.

Also, how can I tell if my hyperacusis is mild or severe? I just really can't tell. I'm protecting as much as I can, but I feel like my sensitivity is getting worse.

Any advice is appreciated.

Put water in the fridge. Turn off halogen lights if you have them. Try to air out the room when you leave the room. Put on earmuffs and air through quickly without letting doors slam.

Pray for a shorter summer than last year.

If ear against pillow sounds loud, or a pastille in a box moving around makes your ear twitch, then it's bad... I think we all react to dishes and spoons.

Yeah man, sort of having a bad day. The weather over here is suitable, highest it's been is 22 degrees. Hope it stays like this, easier to sleep and cope.

I'm having a bad day too. My tinnitus is just as always but sometimes you just get so fed up with everything.

I need a house on a deserted island.

Next week getting nicer weather here.

@Exit, hey man sorry for the late reply, just taking a few days off from the forums. But yeah when you say weather gets nicer, what do you mean? Do you prefer it to get warmer? I think the weather being cooler makes it easier to sleep. I can't cope with ear ringing and then heat stopping me from sleeping.

Hey:)

Days off the forum sounds smart! Perhaps I should try it :D

Yes I've dreaded the nice weather we have now with 25 degrees...

Harder to stay inside, the much louder people outside and on the balconies can make you lose sleep and peace.

I'm praying for autumn in July!

Hope you're doing okay!
