Cause of Tinnitus
Noise-Induced (Car Subs/Earbuds)
I work at a restaurant and sometimes do dishes for some shifts. So I'm in contact with people's plates, trash, etc.

But I was curious if it was possible to get an ear infection from all of that? I'm always thinking about my T and sometimes I place my fingers in my ear to see if I'm spiking from something or not.

But if i didn't wash my hands well enough (I always spraying hands in between dishes) or place my fingers in my ears after messing with plates, could I get an infection from that?

It seems like I have a new noise in my right ear and the same ear makes a tiny pain every now and then (maybe once or twice every other day) idk when the pain started but it doesn't really hurt but don't want to let an ear infection progress and make my T worse if I can prevent it. OR am I just paranoid and my T is just slightly changing over time (or just in my head)? I know ear infections aren't contagious but the colds they come from are (I haven't had a cold tho).

Just wanted to see what you all thought of this.

Yes you can get an ear infection by bringing bacteria that sits on your finger into your ear canal. Possible is different from probable, however.
Don't stick anything in your ear canal.

Yeah, but you are more likely to get an external ear infection from this instead of a middle ear infection.

You could just pop in ear plugs when you're scheduled to wash dishes. It'll be easier to obsessively monitor your tinnitus and you won't have to worry about an infection from constantly plugging your ears.

A big concern is getting your finger stuck in your ear. I mentioned in the other active thread on the same subject there have been several reports of this occurring and people losing the function of their arm and hand because suction of removal of the finger can extract brain matter and dramatically change personality. Some have come away speaking in tongues and become different people having to change their identity and even move to different countries.
So be careful.

Wtf? Ive never heard that from anyone. That doesnt make sense at all in my opinion.

Trust me, its true. Further, some are even silly enough to put super glue on their finger and stick it in their ear. The only way to remove the hand is to sever the finger at the base of the ear. There is good and bad news with this result.
The bad news is...as mentioned its harder to point things out without a finger tip but the good news is loud venues are never an issue moving forward because a finger left in the ear acts as an ear plug which has been recorded to knock 40 dB off sound levels...better than most custom plugs. Who what of thought a finger would have better sound damping than a plug designed to reduce sound level?
