Can You Have Chronic Yet Mild Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and Is It Hard to Diagnose?

So, I've had T for over 2 years. I first got it about 3 weeks after a cold, but didn't really notice the cold; a wee sniffle.

A week or so after my T, I noticed my ears felt full. A lot of people said it was stress/anxiety (make sense).

Went to have my hearing checked and the nurse said my hearing was brilliant.

They did that pressure test thing (tympanometry – sorry, can't spell it) and I think everything was fine (does this mean I cant have ETD???). She did notice something about my ear drum though, due to the light shining off it, maybe slight negative pressure???

Anyway, most days my right ear feels fuller than my left. Sometimes popping my ear drums helps, sometimes it doesn't. However, my "primary" T is in my left (none-full ear).

Recently having a little relapse due to refocusing on my right ear/head high-pitched T for some crazy reason (stupid brain).

Noticed the fullness in my ears again…again, could be stress etc.

However, sometimes (only sometimes) when I gently pop my ear drums, my ears feel odd, like theirs water there…it tickles a little. I don't want to do this often however, as I have a bit of pain in them both, I assume by doing this too much???

When I first felt this a few years ago I went to a Walk-in centre, where they said I didn't have fluid behind my ears (even though it felt like I used to when I was swimming).

I also originally tried using a steroid nasal spray (with correct technique too) and rising my sinuses out with saline fluid. This (the rinse) seemed to clog me up more!).

I went to an ETN, who said I have blocked sinuses by looking up my nose (despite the fact I could breathe really easily through my nose that day) and suggested some nasal drips. This wasn't a steroid based one so I got a rebound and have pretty much been on Vix nasal inhaler since.

So, my questions are;

Does the above sound like ETD. Is it possible for it not to respond to treatment (i.e. nasal spray) and last for years. Is it also possible to be mild, as it was only in the first few weeks that it was really an issue…after that I only noticed it occasionally.
