I have two tones, one at approximately 2130 Hz only audible when I wear plugs and sometimes at night but not during the day, and a higher pitched one which I haven't matched to a frequency yet.
When I wear ear plugs and hear the 2130 Hz tone, and play the exact same tone in the car for a short amount of time (couple of seconds is enough), I temporarily cannot identify the tone in my head. Almost like it has gone quiet. Maybe 20-30 seconds later it fades in again. Effect lasts longer when I play the frequency longer. The higher pitched however, is still there. Haven't tried it with that one yet.
Does this sound familiar? What does it mean?
