CBG:CBD Cannabinoid Tincture — It's Helping My Tinnitus

To Quiet Please:

I am on my second bottle of Lazarus Naturals CBG /CBD oils, and it has unfortunately had no perceptible effect one way or the other on my tinnitus (but perhaps others may have better outcomes).

I will finish the bottle to see if this changes.

Woody Allen once said that he had been in therapy for 10 years, and if there was no improvement after one more year he was going to try the Holy Grotto at Lourdes.

After over 7.5 years, that's the way I feel about this condition.

@DaveFromChicago, I don't blame you at all. Maybe try it alone?

The Lourdes Grotto trip sounds like a great idea. I'm into my 11th year and I've spent too much time and $ on my Don Quixote-like venture. My latest quest is the CBG and I'm praying it helps.

I'm only into my 3rd day & it hasn't made it worse. Yet. Lol. It took almost 3 weeks for the CBD mix to rear its ugly head and make the tinnitus scream. So confidence is really not that high. No pun intended. But I'll let everyone know. Gotta follow that dream.

@Uklawyer, I'm on my 5th day of the CBG alone. Tinnitus is stable & not worse so far. The magic day last time with the CBG:CBD combo was 21.

I did have a couple of short spikes which resolved rather quickly. It's at its baseline of 6-7/10. Morning tinnitus is horrendous as always, but seems to be a little shorter in duration. Fatigue is a bit better. With this chronic inflammation condition, I'm always tired but it seems to be milder. My joints are not as inflamed & I'm a bit less anxious for sure.

Tomorrow I have allot of running around to do with over 120 miles of driving. That will be a big test for me & I'll know more afterwards.

Lol 120 hours of driving would put me in ICU or body bag.

But seriously I'm now going with CBG + CBD + CBDV, those are legal here but CBDV is expensive to grow. I've started hiking semi regular and just heard of book rewiring your brain, seems nothing working so far, rewiring brain concept, and there is method used by clinical psychologist called EMDR. I've gone to psychologist for trauma and she used EMDR, however EMDR was discovered by a clinical psychologist while hiking, so I did EMDR while on hike and will start an EMDR hiking thread soon, maybe with CBDV + CBD + CBG to throw in for fun, so no one knows what did what lol. Have to experiment on myself. There are no clinical trials here and in Canada no doctors care about us. Just ch ching ch ching.

Do you take other pills, like ADs?

I'm on Mirtazapine and Seroquel, and I don't know if it's a good Idea to add CBD or CBG...

EMDR method worked for me.

After just one week this suicidal spike is gone. EMDR was discovered by a clinical psychologist while hiking. Right foot -> scan eyes right, left foot -> scan eyes left. While wearing Bose noise-cancelling headset to accentuate the tinnitus.

Simultaneously focus on EMDR and tinnitus.

The book Rewiring the Brain gave me the idea.

Cannabis in theory may induce plasticity, but meditation and EMDR also does. You can also buy EMDR buzzies that you hold in your hand; that might work. My clinical psychologist tried it but she didn't know the correct technique, she was looking to erase negative emotion, such as like in trauma therapy, she didn't know there was no negative emotion, it's just the brain focuses on the tinnitus, perceive it as something dangerous, and increases the neural networks. The neural network must be taught there is no danger, that is why meditation while focusing on tinnitus works, apparently, so I tried EMDR and in one week my suicidal ideas are gone and I'm much more productive at work and not in bed the entire weekend.

@object16, that's really terrific that EMDR is helping you! My therapist has me reading "The Body Keeps The Score" for my mild PTSD. It's helped a lot along with the CBG. SO much less anxious. Whatever clicks for us can only be good.

Congratulations!

@T Toledo OH, good luck. Unfortunately after 3 weeks the CBD started to spike my tinnitus. I seem to be sensitive to it. I'm doing the CBD alone now. I'm coming up to 10 days & so far it's good.
How has CBG alone done for your tinnitus and inflammation/pain? I also have both. Sounds like your tinnitus is not worse at least?

George

@GeorgeLG, so far after only 10 days, the CBG alone is helping a bit with the tinnitus. I'm prone to regular, loud & high pitched spikes. Only had a couple of quick ones. The mornings are usually very bad and long; now (so far) a bit less intense and definitely shorter in duration. I usually suffer through 1-3 hours of horrible 9/10 tinnitus. Now it's more like 45 minutes to 2 hours at a lower volume.

The inflammation is better too. I'm not getting the intense muscle pain in my legs at night. Only had a few instances and it went away quickly.

Hope you're doing better too?

My 18 day update: The CBG is doing a good job with my inflammation, so that's why I believe my tinnitus is mostly under control. There's a definite connection. The tinnitus is quieter, but still there 24/7. My anxiety is much better and I can control it better when it starts to act up. Also, because the tinnitus is better, I'm not having the usual # of attacks.

I've changed my dosage and timing. I now take 75 ml 2x a day subliminally. This is more convenient and easier to remember. I take it after my morning coffee and before bedtime.
Fingers still crossed.

Is CBG controlling inflammation and pain? Are they one and the same?

My biggest problem currently is actually a major flare up of a 30-year-old lower back pain issue. I am thinking about finally trying this.

@David S, my humble opinion is that I'm impressed you have this certification at all.

Here are some things I know about what I take:
  • CBG Isolate from Lazarus Naturals
  • Cannabis organically gown on their own farm in Central Oregon, USA
  • Tincture crafted and packaged in their Portland, Oregon facility
  • 1 ml = 50 mg CBG
  • Made with Organic Coconut MCT oil
  • Tested by a third party from plant to bottle
  • I feel it's a legitimate product and I trust it

Is the Lazarus Naturals still helping you? Any updates to share?

I am on my fourth bottle of CBG / CBT oil, and it has made virtually no difference one way or another.

At first I thought it might, but as with other supplements I eventually learned not to confuse correlation with causation.
