Cause of Tinnitus
Noise-induced, Ear Infection, Medication... Who knows?
Does anyone get tinnitus in the middle of their head one day and the next day wake up with it in your ears?also do you find one easier to deal with than the other?I fine if its in my head its harder to try to mask than in my ears.....sometimes if its in my head and I get a nap in (if. Drug myself up )then it will be in my ears when I awake from nap.this crap is sooo weird.JUST GO AWAY 4 GOOD!

Mine always seems to be in my head. Sometimes it even sounds like it's somewhere else in the room. I've started hearing a couple of new sounds over the last couple of days, I'm hoping that is just temporary because I'm unwell at the moment.

I understand Dan...mine feels like it is peircing my brain at the moment along with my neck and shoulders hurting with it......... Hope you start feeling better.

Mine occupies different parts of my head. It will move around from day to day, and sometimes during the day. It's easiest to tolerate when it's at the lower back of my head (doesn't happen often), next best is when it's in the upper right quadrant, like right now. Worst of all is when it's temple-to-temple and/or top front of my head, because it takes up more space in my head and is higher pitched and louder. Those are my 8/10 and 9/10 days, and also where it's located when it wakes me up at night.

For some reason it's never localized in the upper left quadrant of my brain.

I have low frequency drone that I hear (feel) more on the right side but there's something physical about it, it's almost like bouncing engine noise that hits the bones and bounces back to the centre than back to head bones....
I can't even describe this:(
But on low days it's more just right side/ear thing which is more bearable.
I always thought that only low frequency tones would be more "head occupying and feely" but obviously high tones can do the same:(

My tinnitus is usually a hissing type of perceived sound... Sometimes it's in my right ear, sometimes my left ear and sometimes it's my entire head... And then sometimes I have a quiet day... That lead me to suspect weather related sinus problems but all tests have ruled out any sinus issues... So I try to cope with the noisy days staying positive that a quiet day is soon to come...

It's in my head and ears at all times, never lets up, not a single god damn day. Mostly loud beeping, squeeking and clicking in my ears (actually hurts) and screeching and scratching moving around in my brain (feels like my heads going to explode). Over two years of 24 7 hell, it's been quite the run. I'm not sure how I'm going to make it another 40 or so, doesn't seem possible.
