Cause of Tinnitus
Unknow possibly noise trauma
Friends,

2,5 months in. My tinnitus is changing all the time, during the day and day by day. This is really bothersome to me. When I would have a constant tone I would be more confident. Now I'm thinking about it the whole day, and listening to it go on (I know I shouldn't).

The loud beep is was in both ears at the beginning and almost faded away, to a point I could forget about it during the day and not bother me at night. The high hiss which was very intermittent in the beginning seems to have become more continuous, in both ears. The morse code beeping in the right ear changed to a clicking sound, and is becoming more and more frequent. At the beginning (1 week after onset) it could stay away for 6 hours. No longer.

Tonight I woke up and all the sounds were just very very low. Now after some 4 hours of sleep they are very loud again. Especially the hiss is bothersome, it's very high and reactive. Can hear it above everything.

Is this actually a good sign things are changing? I hope it will settle to 1 continuous sound, so I can become more confident. Or maybe just go away like the original sound almost did :)

Wish you all luck

I think so. Imagine if it were relentlessly at the same volume and pitch. That would seem to be more consistent with T that is not going to eventually fade.
Hope you're right. Sounds plausible.

Ready to pay €100.000 or more to the man who can bring silence again :)

I had all sorts of changing sounds back in September, about 6 weeks after my tinnitus started, for about the entire month. It eventually settled down into something more manageable in October (and it continues to fade away). Changing tinnitus is good, I think.

Hope yours settles down like mine did.
