Chicago Med Recap 4/19/16: Season 1 Episode 14 “Hearts”

If you can get this episode of Chicago Med, it's about a man with pulsating tinnitus. No one wants to treat him in the ER so he jambs a pencil in his ear to get treatment. The Sound of his heart beating in his head is driving him to the breaking point.

On the show he & Dr's refer to it as a pounding of his heart in his head. They do not use to words Pulsating Tinnitus
The cause was scar tissue around his heart, but there is nothing they can do. The guy did a really good job playing the part. It was pretty close to what you would expect someone as desperate as him to do. Worth checking out. At least NBC finally put this on national TV.

Yes, it was very intense. I know it only a TV show, but it really got to me, watching the poor guy, because I can really imagine that happening in the ER room at a hospital....

I wish my family would watch this episode. They don't think it's a big deal because it not visible like a broken leg. I've wanted to jam pencils in my ears on MULTIPLE occasions.
