This a therapy that I have briefly looked into for treatment of severe chronic T (which I have). Anyone out there have experience or knowledge of this??? Thanks in advance!!

Yes, @Jeff M., I have. I went to a chiropractic neurologist for several months. I still have tinnitus and pulsatile tinnitus, but he did help to restore my balance. It is all about retraining the brain. My chiro performed various tests and then formulated a program that was specific to my issues. I was given "homework" (hand exercises and eye exercises to do at home). I went to him once or twice a week for several months, and it was successful in curing my vertigo/balance problems.

It is at least worth looking into, if you have a chiropractic neurologist near you in California.

Thanks Karen! Yes, I have one right around the corner from my shop! Glad to hear your chiro helped your vertigo/balance issues! :) Bummed to hear it didn't give you any relief from T. Thanks for the info!!!

Hi, @Jeff M.,

Your tinnitus might be different from mine, and might respond better to the treatment. It's hard to say. I'm excited that you have a chiropractic neurologist near you; if you decide to go for it, I'll be interested to hear if it works for you!

P.S. -- I have both pulsatile and regular tinnitus. The chiro was working on my pulsatile tinnitus, which may be harder to cure.

My wife's cousin is a chiro, and I actually work for her boss in marketing his business. Am getting an adjustment tomorrow and will see how it goes.

He produced a book on whiplash and one of the chapters on it relates to T and how chiro may be able to help. I'll see how it goes tomorrow, I think I need an adjustment anyway.

Here's how it went. I'm not sure if it worked or not. I seem to be coping better this week although it can be noisy at times. My spine was quite out of alignment before the manipulation (had xrays done), and the C1 bone I think it's called was too close to my skull. There's a ton of neuro stuff happening there, so it's possible that some issue could cause increase tinnitus.

Had another manipulation three days after and will have some more over the next few weeks to help keep stuff where it should be.

If anything, at least I have a more comfortable neck and back while I search for a solution lol

Well, I went three times and to be honest it helped very little if any. Although I realize it was just not enough. My chiropractor says that possibly it's caused by fall on my back some two years ago. I've got some exercises to do at home and while tinnitus didn't get that much better, I must say my balance is better and my knee is healed. At the same time other doctor suggested I have knee pain from overweight, while I was convinced it's from spending a lot of time in the car. Seems like I was right.
