CLARITHROMYCIN Increased Tinnitus

Hello all. This is my first post, so let me say I've had tinnitus since 2012. I believe it was skydiving related as it popped up shortly after a jump.

Ok so I had a very bad stomach infection. My doctor gave me CLARITHROMYCIN and AMOXICILLIN. It was 4 of the Clarithromycin a day and 2 of the Amoxicillin. I noticed my tinnitus was slightly worse, but didn't draw the connection till I started reading today. I took 2 weeks of this, last night was my last dose.

Does anyone think, or have experience that my ringing will go back to the normal level?

Hi! I have been prescribed this. Did your tinnitus go back to normal?

I had a course of Clarithromycin + Flagyl + Nexium in Jan/Feb. Got T shortly after startup, but did not know about ototoxcity or T at the time. Had a very loud T for several weeks afterwards which fortunately settled. What made mine permanent was the quadruple I had to take in June. F'd me up badly.

Update: it never went back down. And the infection is also back.
