Coffee Reducing Tinnitus?

I certainly do! I was told not to drink coffee and I did so for months until I finally just couldn't resist anymore... and surprisingly it actually reduced my tinnitus.

Well, when my tinnitus went up in volume (mostly in my left ear) last month after so many years for no apparent reason other than serious stress, I read a lot on here about caffeine spiking tinnitus commonly, so I gave it up for a few days in desperation of getting it to lower again, and noticed no difference in my tinnitus. I went back to coffee or an energy drink and swore it lowered my tinnitus as well when I did, or at least my perception of it, or maybe that sweet, sweet caffeine running through my body giving me a nice mood boost that I didn't care about tinnitus.

Either way, I say go grab a cup :) Even if it spikes your tinnitus, it's not going to be permanent.

In detail or by providing links, can someone explain how espresso is able to lower all of my tinnitus noise?

I drink way too much coffee. It can cure a headache. I get headaches from tinnitus. So in that respect coffee helps.

But when I don't have a headache, and am drinking coffee all day, I still have loud tinnitus. But my cause for spiked tinnitus could be different from others. So my jury is out on whether coffee helps or hurts tinnitus -- for me.

I think we are all different. Vigorous exercise doesn't even temporarily spike tinnitus for me. Exercise is another great relief, and or distraction from tinnitus for me. But I read on here that it does for others.

The problem with trying coffee or something with caffeine like tea is if you have trouble sleeping with your tinnitus noise. :(

@Tex there was a study and there is a study on everything that running pounding feet may cause tinnitus?

I quit running long before my Tinnitus came along. I've been walking or using other low or no impact equipment for almost 30 years. I'm pretty serious about taking care of my ears for my time left here on this rock called Earth. :)
