Constantly Assessing New Sounds in Public...

One thing I've become rather weird about is constantly worrying that i'm hearing a new tone when I'm out. Every time I'm out with my kids and I hear a strange tone, I ask my kids "you hear that too right?" Once in awhile they're being ornery and say "no, I don't hear anything"... Cheeky.

It also annoys me that I'm now so overly sensitive to sounds I would have previously never even noticed. Plus, why are stores so stinking noisy?? In the grocery store a few weeks ago they had a very high pitched beeping sound going throughout the entire store. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Yea I notice lots of sounds too, if I notice a louder ringing sound I will cover my ears to see if it is me or something else. I notice a lot of sounds too, it is very annoying!

I've heard many strange tones out and about and say to myself "please don't let that by my T"...sometimes it is, sometimes it's not. I'm so much more aware and sensitive of sounds now that wouldn't of bothered me in the past...the school bus grinding to a halt, my daughters high pitched laugh (I love her to death but her laugh is piercing!), putting away the dishes, the blender, I could go on and on. The world is way too loud for me now!

I still don't know if the radiator is on or if it's me. I went to a gas station
in summer put air in my tires and thought i had a leak.

I do this every day.
And I notice the horribly annoying music in stores more than ever.
I clicked on a YouTube "Cure Your Tinnitus" ad and all of a sudden this loud funk music hit me. Thanks dudes.

Yea putting away and washing dishes always bothers me, especially the silverware.

First you need to have a partner who will wantvto do the dishes 'only' because youcan't stand the sound. Mine doesn't give a damn and today Ifigured out that I can't do thedishes anymore. I've just done them , which I've always hated but now, after having all this heavy pans faling and clinging against one another just makes me pissed causeI think it stresses my inner ear which I'm trying to protect so obsessively. Clinging heavy dishes can't ruin hair cells, can it?
