I have very unstable tinnitus, it worsens randomly every week. But the past few days I cannot describe it with words. All of my pre-existing tinnitus noises doubled in loudness overnight, new disturbingly loud noises appearing every single day. It's so loud that it's making me dizzy. It has never been this bad.
I have ear eczema which, combined with reusing foam earplugs too much, have resulted in an ear infection. It's very mild, I have no fever, slightly worse balance, very minor ear pain other than hyperacusis/TTTS, scalp hurts when I press down on it but I doubt that is related to the ear infection. It forces me to stop using earmuffs all the time because of moisture and all that, which has worsened my good ear unsurprisingly.
What worries me is I have no hearing loss, I hear everything just fine. Tinnitus spikes from ear infections, as I understand it, get worse because of fluid buildup. My Eustachian tubes are still working from what I can tell, so fluid buildup seems unlikely.
I also suspect I have a pollen allergy, but it's nothing serious at all.
I am actually baffled, how much worse can it get.
I know nothing about ear infections since I never get them, so if anyone more experienced could explain any of this, I would be very thankful.
