So hello again...
I was actually not sure if I should post anything yet because a lot of things is happening since last and I wanted them to start working, but here I go.

My tinnitus started in my right ear a sunday evening and I just assumed that I was an idiot for sitting on my computer all weekend and get tinnitus from hearing damage so my journey to the ENT started. The first one said "wait it out and come back if you want." So I waited for 3 months and called a new ENT. The second one said "sorry nothing I can do!" and then she threw me out the door. I had two hearing tests done and both were over average. I then went to my doctor in pure anxiety and depression and she said a physiotherapist wouldn't harm. So I went there about a week ago, and that was a interesting visit.

When I first got there and he looked at me he could see that my spine was curved, now I am tall and very hunched over - or i have been, I am trying to recover - he then later found out, and corrected, my neck, apparently my neck had been totally locked. for a long time I then randomly said I had been to the dentist because I had a habit with clicking my jaws and now it wouldn't stop, the dentist said there wasn't a problem, but he said there was. He immediately went in and tried to push it back in place with both laser and manual force. And if that wasn't enough problems he could later conclude that every inch of my right half muscles (the ringing side) were irritated to the point of alarming (even my ear muscles were hurting).

I scheduled 3 other appointments so we could work on all these problems, but waiting is so hard. I was so hopeful to begin with and now I'm sitting and thinking it isn't going to work again and again. I have no one to talk to because everyone already thinks I'm cured and my ENT's and other doctors have clearly lost all of my respect. I have been complaining about my jaw for months and everybody said it was nothing and didn't even want to look at it. So know I'm in need of honest, heart to heart answer. Could it be my cure? Have any of you experienced the same as me? and are you free from the sound?

Thank you for reading. I know it was long but I have been pilling up for a week now and I needed this so much!

If you have TMJ then that can cause tinnitus but you could have other reasons and sometimes no cause can be found.

See your dentist who can tell you if you have TMJ and a mouth guard can be made to keep the pressure off your jaw when worn over night and will help put your jaw in the correct position and might settle down your tinnitus .
Also cut food up small and don't over bite Apple's etc......hope the information is helpful. . Lots of love glynis

@glynis I am waiting for the moth guard but I was so hoping for it to stop permanently. My physiotherapist says he cannot promise anything so I was just wondering if you guys had experienced the same? The physiotherapist said that the right side was pushed up and might affect my neck that then affected my ear? I know there isn't a physiotherapist here but god I wish someone is experiencing the same and had a positive outcome...

I have TMJ and wear a mouth guard and awaiting another appointment with my maxillofacial specialist who has given me a surgery option as my jaw really cracks and crunches .

My tinnitus is through Menieres so does not help my tinnitus but with the guard in place my jaw stops crunching and cracking .
I have had jaw problems 34 years....lots of love glynis

@glynis My jaw crackles too but my dentist said that nothing was out of place and I live in a little country where no one seem to think further than the normal problems. When i mentioned my visit to my physiotherapist he was actually in some way enraged with the dentist because my whole face and the rest of my body was in imbalance as he phrased it. I'm praying for it to work and I hope some people with similar problems can help me too. Thanks for the replies ;) nice to finally talk to someone who doesn't think I'm searching for nothing... (my last ENT did)

I would at least see a TMJ specialist to see if there really is something wrong. It does not look like the dentist was very thorough. Whats tests did he order?

Anyways I would only go for TMJ treatment to solve TMJ symptoms. Don't go in with the idea that it will do anything to your tinnitus.

@Nucleo my dentist did nothing! she put her fingers on my jaws and wain open and close two times. Then she said nothing really felt wrong. I then complained saint that my jaws actually were popping at this moment and she brushed it off saint they did not do anything to popping jaws! God I was annoyed! Plus I don't think i have a TMJ specialist and for some reason no one seems to think I deserve any form of tests except laying to fingers on my jaws and press a little! I know it probably won't disappear but right now just being free of a irritated jaw would help a little so I could tackle my enormous list of other physical problems...

Plus I don't think i have a TMJ specialist

Hello, you definitively should see a TMJ specialist. Common dentist neither ENT will help with you jaw.

If by chance you are near California, I can give you the info of good TMJ specialized dentist in México near the border with San Diego. I've actually made an appointment with him. I want also to know if i have TMJ, not only because of my T, but mainly because I have ear, jaw, temple and neck pain.

Regards,
Johnny.
