Could Facial Laser Have Adverse Effects on My Tinnitus? Can the General Anesthesia Worsen Tinnitus?

Tomorrow I'll be doing facial laser to my face to get rid of some acne scars that has been with me ever since I was a teenager. This is a procedure that I wanted to do a long time ago but now I finally have the opportunity to do so.

What I'm concerned is about the general anesthesia that will be applied, I'm not sure if this would have adverse effects on my tinnitus. Of course, I'm going to let my dermatologist be aware of my condition just in case, but still if there are some ototoxic drugs involved, I was wondering if any of you have had a permanent increase due to an ototoxic drug when you had general anesthesia?

After 9 months with tinnitus, FINALLY my reactivity has calmed down to a livable level with just occasional flares up and I don't want to mess with any progress I made so any information provided regarding ototoxic drugs would be appreciated.

I haven't gone under any anesthesia since I got my tinnitus, however, from what I know, the only one that poses risks is the spinal anesthesia. I read posts of people going under general anesthesia and they were fine, no tinnitus increase.

Thanks for the response. Everything went well thankfully, since they just applied cream to the face, not real anesthesia like I was expecting.
