I hear my T louder when I push my jaw out or when I clench my teach. Also I have been having jaw pain recently and wondering if that is connected to my ear pain.

I'm trying to figure out a doctor/dentist to go to but none of them seem to be covered for TMJ.

Anyone know about this?

A dentist needs to check you for TMJ and can make you a mouth splint/guard and he will tell you if need to see a maxillofacial specialist ....lots of love glynis

I get my splint adjusted on Thursday. Plus, I'm going to a deep tissue massage therapist this week too.

It's a possibility. I had a dental implant done on the right side of my mouth in December, and since then, I've been clenching on the left and doing most of my chewing on the left. Since the onset of T, I've stopped that!

Yes, it suck. Because dentist do the work but its coded for medical, so at best its covered as out of network.
Do you have any other jaw issues Do you clench or grind at night. If you do you should get a TMJ night guard. not just for T but all the other issue that can happen, and maybe it will help you T. Do you have any pain just under your ear , next to you jaw?

@Marie79 Hi Marie , definately ask your dentist and or Doctor about TMJ . My ENT says I have TMJ I grind my teeth insanely when I sleep and if I get angry .I even clench my jaws without realizing during the day. My teeth are all cracked because of it and the jaw and face pain is dreadful .
Also if i clench my jaws the pitch and loudness of my T changes. I also have facial numbness or more accurately ,reduced sensation. My dentist gave me a lower jaw splint but i find it very hard to wear at night and just end up biting down even harder on it !
