Dating with Tinnitus

i don't understand why you do prefer quiet environment. I have tinnitus last 4 years and can't stay in quiet places because my tinnitus irritates me a lot. I am avoiding loud music of course but can't stand silence.

Unfortunately my tinnitus has become reactive, so it competes with sound and gets louder. I don't like complete silence either but it's better for my ears.

True...I've fortunately made new friends and some are very considerate of my ears situation and our outings don't involve very loud activities

I've always despised loud parties and clubs. Tinnitus gives me a perfect excuse to never have to go near such a place again. All my previous girlfriends considered this a weird, but not very serious quirk; never had any issue with it. If they really wanted to go clubbing they just went with some friends. Couples need some "alone time" anyway.
