Deaf with No Tinnitus!

I recently conversed with a young girl who suffered with t before she developed profound hearing loss bilaterally. With the hearing loss came the cessation of her tinnitus!!

I have quizzed her about habituation but she is adamant that with the loss of her hearing she hears nothing but silence.

hi Debin , las week a meet a young patient who told me she had this type writer T very strong for two years , she is 25 , then she told me it was gone completely after two years , but now she is having vertigo . but the T went completely away !! so yes although nobody knows why , T might go away in certain persons !!

also I have a friend who suffer an accident with a scuba tank full of air that exploded near him , he went almost deaff in one ear and in the other he had a sever infection , so the bones of the middle ear dont work , I ask him if he hears T , but he told me , I hear almost nothing , he is so used to silence that he refuses to use heaing aids because he feel overwhelmed by the noise when using them !!
