Hello,

I was born deaf and wear hearing aids on both ears. In 2010, I got hit in the right side of my head with a softball but i was still conscious. After that incident, i have high sensitivity to noises so i stop wearing hearing aid on my right ear. Then in 2012, I had a vertigo attack where I constantly threw up. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me low sodium diet and prednisone. After that, I felt better and had no incident since. In 2014, I was bench pressing and I held my breath and then my ear popped. After that, I felt really lightheaded so I stopped after that. My ear were experiencing fullness in my right ear for several months then it progressed into both ear fullness and tinnitus in my right ear as well. I have been dealing with tinnitus for over 6 months

there is no findings on my MRI. I also had bad seasonal allergies starting in 2014 as well. I also had braces for 2 years starting in 2014 as well. I also realized that when I was running or taking a deep breath, I felt like there is even more pressure in my ear

My doctor prescribed me nasal sprays, water pills and sinus rinse. They have not been helping. Do you guys know any treatments that can help me with that

Thanks

I don't have any specific advice on how to relieve pressure in your ear, but I'm curious if you know the cause of your hearing loss?

Some of your symptoms are similar to something I have -- enlarged vestibular aqueducts (EVAS). It's thought that increased pressure to the head, or hits to the head will cause hearing loss moreso than someone with normal aqueducts. It can't be seen on a MRI as far as I know, it would require a high res CAT scan. I had severe hearing loss when I was a small child and never knew why until I had another loss of hearing in the past few years.

Hello warrior I like your username by the way. ;) Are you completely deaf? I hope not! Or how bad is your hearing then? Being totally deaf and having loud ringing would be horrifying! Just remember to properly inhale and exhale when you are working out. I popped my ear when I was practicing my boxing and failed to exhale when I punched and... OUCH! Please remember to breathe properly next time. I know it's easy to forget I do to forget sometimes. Boxing can cause tinnitus. But mine is caused from T.M.J. and other things though? I took a lot of punches to my right jaw and my right ear. Any sport or exercise program can cause or worsen this evil tinnitus. Please be doing emotionally better warroir. Let me know how you are doing though will you please?

Sorry but have you considered seeing an E.N.T.? or an Audiologist? If not please do make an appointment to see a specialist. I did and it was one of the best things I did for my evil tinnitus and over all health. I feel so much better now. I actually have hope now. I am no longer suicidal anymore. Please see a good doctor as they are very important! Please don't wait to see a specialist. They will be able to help you as best as they can, if they are a good doctor. Don't suffer anymore. As far as head pressure is concerned I really don't know. Just rest your head, avoid vigorous activities, and avoid allergies and talk to your doctor more about it. Don't forget to ask for a referral to an E.N.T. Thanks. Sorry for the double posting.
