Dealing with Unmaskable Tinnitus?

How do you guys deal with tinnitus that is unmaskable? What are some alternatives to masking that might offer some relief? I read somewhere that coloured lights can be helpful.

My tinnitus has gone up from mildly severe to rather severe in these past couple of days. Dealing with a lot of fear. Scared I won't find a way to live alongside this nails-on-chalkboard-monster
