Hello,

I'm wondering if any of you can use this Lasko fan sound on YouTube to block out your tinnitus? It can be found here:

I can block out my tinnitus at 38% speaker volume and the red bar at about 1/4.

Thank you very much for sharing!

I don't believe that it is recommended to block out the tinnitus entirely. I use sound generators in my TRT to help habituate to the tinnitus sound, and have really grown used to not masking or blocking, but to make my tinnitus sort of blend in with for example this fan-sound. Luckily for me my tinnitus is really not that loud. I am comfortable with this fan on about 10 % of the speaker volume. If I was to block out my tinnitus entirely, that happens at around 25 % of the volume. By the way, research shows no link between the actual tinnitus dB and the trouble the tinnitus is causing the pasient.
