Depressed, Bad Sleep, Hard to Keep Going

Jcb the cooking was a clue.
Tracy it seems that once the ADs have increased T you are stuck with it.
I had T before I began ADs years ago and they didn't affect it. This time is seems very different. Opinion is divided some people on a different forum say 'get off it asap'. I can't though as it is dangerous to do that.
My T is very loud tonight, it's a b....r.

@Nanny chocolate ,
I hope your ears settle for you.
Amitryptaline or Nortriptyline or Mertazepin can help tinnitus for some people as well as help to sleep.
I have a 3 day weekend and weather going be lovely.
Youngest son sleeping over tonight and got grandsons Monday so tomorrow some nice retail therapy summer clothes shopping.
My ears can keep me awake at night but in the day they get stuffed with hearing aids...

Maybe it's worth speaking your options over with a Dr. If you can afford it, maybe go private? You'll get a lot more time to relax and talk about everything in detail without feeling like you're being rushed out the door.

I'm so sorry, Nancy. My T is very loud today, too.
Concerned it's related to trying to taper off the Clonazepam.
Hugs to you.

Hello everybody
Glynis I will get a psychiatrist appt and see what they say about changing over. I'm extremely wary as it was the change of dosage that started all this misery.
Happy shopping, when I'm well I love it.
Dave, I love your posts.
Being on here feels like being with family.

Hi Tracy, thanks for the renaming, lol.
Your're probably right about your withdrawal symptoms but that shouldn't last.
I'm going to try for bed soon with a load of loud metallic wasps going berserk in my ears!
@TracyJS

@Nanny chocolate
Eve,
I'm so sorry I kept doing that. I see Nanny and I think Nancy. Please forgive me.

Loud metallic wasps is exactly what I have, too.
I hope the loud T isn't related to the taper in the sense that I'm trying to taper very slowly to avoid this.

I will be hoping sleep will be possible tonight.

Hi Ed
That's the plan, I have a small private medical insurance and I will research the names the Company have given me. I would pay for a private appt but I can't find anybody more local.
They should give an extra long appt, maybe an hour.
Thank you
@Ed209

Tracy it's funny.
You are completely right to do the slow taper and the T will do it's own thing anyway.
It will most likely settle down for you anyway. The T that I've had for a long time I'm used to, the new additions are the ones that are so difficult and depressing.
I hope you sleep better tonight.

Ok, I'm glad it's funny.
Yes, I hope it settles down.
I may be doing too slow a taper considering the short amount of time, relatively speaking, I have been using the med.
Yes, new additions would be difficult. I worry about that, too.
Good night Eve (Nancy)

I love to cook :cool:
Hope you slept better last night, just wait and see what your psychiatrist says regarding the meds, hopefully you will be able to get a happy medium so to speak.

Hi, rubbish sleep again. Got problems with my eyes so at outpatients now. THEY ARE RUNNING VERY LATE! Thank you, I'll have to try to get an appt ASAP,
Yours tiredly down in sunny Devon.

When it rains it pours eh?? I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with your eyes, and it's horrible when you have to wait to be seen for that long. Bright side you live in one the most beautiful places in the UK, I love Devon especially in the summer.

I have high eye pressure for which I have had laser treatment. Didn't work! I use eye drops at night and the aim is to keep the pressure down so that it doesn't lead to glaucoma. I go every few months to the Hospital for scans and pressure checks. Today was 6 hours, the staff were brilliant under duress.
If I was a car I think I'd need to go to a scrap yard. Just home and my T is objecting loudly about the outing.
It's so sunny down here today, lots of people enjoying the good weather.
No major eye problem today though, we're very lucky to have our NHS.
Treatment is free Tracy although we pay our taxes to fund this.
Being hard of hearing didn't help much,
totally blanking the nurse who was calling my name!

@Nanny chocolate ,
I am glad you are home and eye's ok.
My hubby has to put drops in also for the same reason.
It's beautiful outside today and been out with my lovely grandsons as mummy wasn't to well and needed get checked out.
Hope you manage enjoy the lovely weather ...lol
I have a tan already ..

Spent nearly all day at Clinic Glynis. Lucky you with little boys for company in the sunshine.
I got told off as I didn't put the drops in properly this week, it's a very common condition in older people it seems. I'm
69 and I'm sure your hubby is younger.
Poor mummy, I hope she feels better soon but a bonus for you.
It's still warm and sunny here now x
