This one is loud and there is nothing that will mask it. Generally at least when I'm in the shower it will mask it but not anymore. It's high pitched, loud, and no amount of external noise helps at all.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. The holidays are awful to start with and all kinds of other depressing things are going on and now this crazy spike. It's been up and down a lot the last few weeks but this is the worse.

I'm not sure if anyone sees a difference with the weather but we have a low that has moved in for the next few days. I'm hoping that might be part of it but realize we never know.

Is there ANYTHING that can help when you can't mask? I do have an RX for Klonopin that I've avoided starting up. Can that work? I'm feeling especially desperate right now.

Thanks for reading....

Your medication will relax you and maybe a little sleepy so carnt
hurt to try it and might help when get a big spike but be careful not to take it to often as can be addictive .

Try stay calm and relax with a long soak in the bath and nice walks and some treats to help keep your mood up.
Christmas can be stressful for a lot of people and family fall outs so try do what you can to ease any pressure .
Playing calm relaxing music during the day might help and at night play natural sounds set below your tinnitus to help.
I would see your doctor also for talking therapy and let him know how you feel...lots of love glynis

I am having a terrible start to the holidays as well. The other day a rock impacted my windshield and caused a spike in my T. Then yesterday some kids threw firecrackers near my window at home and I got really scared. And then just as I was recovering from day today I was picking up my car from the car service and some jerk blew the horn in an enclosed space where there cars are parked at and I was right near, it was really loud and even more so because it was inside. This is no life for me.
