Hi there,
A few weeks ago I woke up with a very loud and high pitch tinnitus. At first it would stay for 2-3 days and then either be completely silent or almost noticeable. However, now it's driving me nuts and I have to take sleeping pills to be able to relax a bit. Doctor simply told me that this cannot be healed and offered antidepressants
I noticed that I can influence the pitch and volume of the constant hissing by either turning my head very far to the left, or by pressing on a bit harder around the left ear. The sounds seem to be in the middle of the head, but as mentioned on the left side I can influence it a bit. Touching the right side or turning the head to the right doesn't make a difference.
Has anyone here experienced this and can offer some advice as to what to do? I am desperate, I haven't been able to work for 2 days last week, and I don't know how I am supposed to make through a full day tomorrow.
Thanks so much!
