How many of you have problems hearing people talking to you while eating foods like chips or cookies... you know like crispy things that you can hear?

Is that normal or is it a sign of some hearing loss.

I was just eating chips and my mom was talking (she was further more away from me) and I could not hear everything she said because of the sound of eating.... Can that also be some kind of test for hidden hearing loss?

Your hearing can be ok but it can dip when you have a tinnitus spike or blocked ears so it could happen.
If you notice your hearing is down for more than a week get your doctor check your ears.
Love glynis

I think it can be hard to hear people when you are munching even if your ears are ok.

Cheers.

What monkey legs said.... I had my hearing test done and all was perfect but if I'm eating something crunchy I think it's hard to hear somebody talking as well.

My hearing is fine, but when munching on crunchy things I can't hear people talking. I remember that being pretty normal though before T. Now with T and crunch noises it's worse.

Plus, my mom talks half as quiet as other people. So there's that.

Its easy to be paranoid about sound when you have T.

Cheers.

That's a sign of hearing loss. It did not happen to me until I started losing hearing.
