Cause of Tinnitus
Sinus Infection?
Today I found myself slightly dizzy in class. I've been having sinus issues for the last 3 months and a little over a week ago my right ear filled up with more fluid. It caused me to have patulous Eustachian tube where I could hear my breathing slightly.

When I looked down at my keyboard at my desk it started to "turn" slightly. Kind of like vertigo I would guess, although I've never experienced vertigo. It wasn't extreme so I classify it as dizziness. When I lifted my head back up things would go back to normal quickly. When I stood up I lost my balance for a split second but caught myself easily.

Now I am laying in bed watching YouTube videos on my phone, and if I lay on my left side I start to get pretty dizzy, kind of like a drunk feeling. It's like I'm getting the spins very slowly. When I roll onto my back the spins subside.

Now, today is the first day I haven't heard breathing in my right ear as much as usual (the only other times I didn't hear it was if I leaned forward and tilted my head down, which closed the E-tube). There is definitely a fluid blockage of some sort because when I perform the valuable maneuver gently I can hear a fluid-like noise in my right ear.

Is this dizziness a sign of the fluid draining? Or is it getting worse? Does fluid usually have to pass through part of the inner ear to drain, and is affecting my equilibrium? Any insight would be great.

Update: woke up after over 9 hours of sleep and felt like I could go for another 5-6. My body was very fatigued, balance seemed okay and no dizziness. But I feel very tired...

Correction, I take it back. If I stare at one object in the room the whole room starts to spin very very slowly. I can only tell because if I blink again the orientation of the room is no longer slanted.

Hi Mike,
You could have a virus infection causing the dizziness and room spin like Labyrinthitus and can be from a sinus problem gone in to your inner ear.
This can go on its own but always get checked over at your doctors..... lots of love glynis

Unbelievable, every single time I feel like I'm getting better I wake up the next day feeling worse, and this is a new "worse". The dizziness is extremely slight but my balance isn't 100% and even typing this message on my phone my fingers feel exhausted.

I'm going to give it today and go to the doctors tomorrow if it isn't any better.

Best get checked out.
Sounds like a virus making you run down and lethargic ....lots of love glynis
