Do Certain Foods Affect Tinnitus?

I have had Tinnitus for over a week now and I am noticing that if I eat certain foods my Tinnitus will increase.

For example, this past Sunday I had a store purchased Turkey and Cheese sandwich and by bed time my Tinnitus was really bad.

Last evening I was not very hungry and had a can so Amy's low sodium Lentil soup which contains 290 milligrams of sodium per server and a can has two servings. About an hour later the Tinnitus increased.

Is it me, coincidence or do certain foods increase Tinnitus? If so I'm thinking perhaps the sodium content.

Thank you...

Salt can spike tinnitus and red wine and sugar and junk food....
I would say anything in moderation is ok but don't add salt to food....lots of love glynis

I guess it's an experimental thing. I have spoken to a few people who seem to use garlic supplements to reduce their Tinnitus.

It's really dependent on the person. I could snack on salty, sugary foods all throughout the day, have a pot of coffee, too, with zero affect on my T.

I've had T for over a decade and no food has ever spiked my T. That said, everyone is different.
