Tinnitus Since
02/2016
So since my onset a lot of weird symptoms have appeared.

Kinda scary, but I've been trying my best to keep active and cope.

I've seen all kinds of doctors, and I'm getting blood work for a lot of stuff this week.

These past week have been great, I feel with energy I've been doing lots of exercise, eating so much better and stuff.

But I still have tinnitus a bit louder in both ears, visual snow, joint pain that comes and goes... etc..

So I found a list on the internet about lyme and I have a lot of symptoms from there.

I'm sharing... in case you are on the same page... It could be useful...

The symptoms in bold are the ones I have...

Borrelia
(Borreliosis, neuroborreliosis; also known as Lyme Disease)
Spread primarily though the bite of infected ticks that live on a wide range of mammalian species; secondary human-to-human transmission through semen, breast milk, and possibly in utero

Bladder dysfunction
Burning or stabbing sensations
Cardiac impairment
Change in bowel function
Chest pain
Confusion
Depression
Difficulty thinking
Difficulty with concentration and reading
Difficulty with speech, writing
Difficulty finding words; name blocking
Disorientation: getting lost, going to wrong places
Disturbed sleep: too much, too little, fractionated, early awakening
Ears/Hearing: buzzing, ringing, ear pain, sound sensitivity
Exaggerated symptoms or worse hangover from alcohol
Eyes/Vision: double, blurry, increased floaters, light sensitivity

Facial paralysis (Bell's palsy)
Fatigue, tiredness, poor stamina
Forgetfulness
Headache

Heart block
Heart murmur
Heart palpitations
Heart valve prolapse
Increased motion sickness
Irritability
Irritable bladder
Joint pain or swelling
Lightheadedness
Mood swings
Muscle pain or cramps
Neck creaks & cracks
Neck stiffness, pain
Numbness
Pelvic pain
Poor attention

Poor balance
Poor short-term memory
Problem absorbing new information
Pulse skips
Rib soreness
Sexual dysfunction or loss of libido
Shooting pains
Shortness of breath; cough
Skin hypersensitivity
Sore throat
Stiffness of the joints or back
Swollen glands
Testicular pain
Tingling
Tremor
Twitching of the face or other muscles
Unavoidable need to sit or lay down

Unexplained breast pain
Unexplained fevers, sweats, chills or flushing
Unexplained hair loss
Unexplained menstrual irregularity'
Unexplained milk production
Unexplained weight loss or gain
Upset Stomach or abdominal pain

Vertigo
Wooziness

Some of my symptoms are mild and some are very present.
Let's say I'm having a great time right? hahah jk
Obviously I'm having a difficult time,
Some symptoms come and go thank god.

Tinnitus and vision are 24/7 thou...

Very hard to say, but you sure have many symptoms to deal with. Very sorry to hear that. I was checked for Lyme disease twice by a local Mayo clinic, both negative. I seem to have some pretty bad spinal conditions. Mayo thinks I may have peripheral neuropathy, according to a autonomic nerve test. Please let us know if you have a Lyme test and results. I've heard there could be false negatives too.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still going through all of this nonsense. Tinnitustalk was nice enough to remind me that I have been here for a year. Not that I needed to be reminded.

So many of the things on this list could be related to so many different illnesses. Do you have any defined episodes of any of this? Or does it all just seem to come and go randomly.

Hey Jkph!
thanks for your reply.
yes i have a year and a month with this.. i remember the first month with tinnitus.
all i wished for it to go away.

right now i wish that tinnitus was my only problem lol.

and yes, tbh there are a lot of other neurological illness that behave very similar.
but my symptoms and they way they appear doesnt fit the regular criteria.
it doesnt seem to be MS, Fibro, menieres, RA, but at the same time it could be...
my guts tell me its lyme.
ill have to wait and see and hopefully treatment will work on me :)

Dude i have all same, pretty much 1 to 1.

All started when i came back from vacation in russia. I've been to mountains and were near cows. I kinda read throug some local news lately and they have registerred at least 100 cases. Btw just so you know, people get rash only in about 30-40% cases (i guess when tick is big or something). I havent had rash but started feeling pains in my neck and got very fatigued while i was there. Havent really paid any attention to it (though time change and stuff). When i came back it felt a little better but still got really exhausted by the end of the day (even on weekends i stopped hitting gym). I also started getting hungry faster and my hair started falling off more than usual. About month after - i felt numbness on side of my face. Joints started feeling wierd but on on/off situation randomly. Week passed and i developed flu-like symptoms. On 3rd day of flu-like sympoms i felt a little better and went out. When i came home - i wasbstriked by tinnitus. Numbness felt worse and i went to ER. They let me go in a few hours. Next day i got shit ton of floaters. In following months i noticed visual snow (i might started experiencing it right after tinnitus appeared). I was going mad by tinnitus at the time and felt this is same thing.

Now i am not sure wtf really hapoening with me. I am trying to find LMD and get tested.

I cannot understand how the hell this is happening to me.

P.S.

I read that a lot of people who had VS their whole life had developed Tinnitus later in their life (had no idea what VS is since thats how they saw world since early age and found out only while researching for T). Apperently Lyme is so small its like damn HIV (in ability to hide) and can be actually passed to child by his mother if she were bitten by tick with virus/whatever this crap is. As a result child has great chance catching it and being affected by it.

Me personally - never had VS nor T and other crap before this all happened to me. I got tested for all kinds of things including AIDS and thankfully all came back clear (not that i am morron who sleeps on left/right and does not use protection) but had nothing else to come up with.

Interrestingly when my knee started giving me random moderate discomforts - i thought maybe i somehow injured it and went to Regenexx doctor (stem cell fix for joints) and he said i am ok but he dot concerned and said i better check for Lyme. Smart me dismissed his recommendation because - well i could not recall any tick on me or bite.

My recent research shows that i might be wrong here. Most people actually are not able to point to an ancident with ticks at all (not just bite, but even finding tick on them at all) and discover Lyme + co-infections randomly when they just YO-LO test, because their docs just run out of ideas (or they are lucky and their Dock is somehow familiar with Lyme and can quickly pick it up without lab test and then actually get blood tests from multiple labs to confirm).

As far as i know you need test done by IGENEX lab down in Palo Alto, CA . This is most accurate test that could detect strains of Lyme and co-infections.

Dude seems like you and i are on the same shit... possibly.
here are a few things i would like to ask you...

have you gotten a hearing test?
do you have minimal lost in the low frecuency?
do mornings tend to be worst for you?

i have the same!! tinnitus (left ear, right ear sometimes),
visual snow, floters, visual sensitivity, morning pain, knee or other joints hurt sometimes, random body aches)

we should investigate more!

I am going to doc this upcoming Tueseday, will see.

Hi. I got Lyme disease in 1998. It was a rough rough ride to get it diagnosed. It took many years and was extremely difficult to get it diagnosed. My main symptom was severe muscle twitching and swollen painful joints. I also got floaters in my eyes and a funny sensation in my ears. I was laughed out of the office of many doctors. It was humiliating. I was told I was depressed, which i wasn't. Also when I went to write a word I would miss out the first letter. I paid £8,000 to a Swiss doctor and after that I was pretty much cured. I know quite a bit about the topic as I spend many years trying to find out what was wrong with me. I paid a lot to get tested abroad as it tested negative he here in Scotland. I tested positive for pcr in a lab in America. I can't remember which one it was now but it was a lot of money, maybe 3000 dollars or so. Worth it to get the positive test as without it the treatment is hard to get.

What kind of treatment did you get with the Swiss doctor?

Zithromax and amoxicillin I think it was. I also managed to get iv antibiotics here on the NHS for a month. The Swiss doctor was amazing. The amount she knew about Lyme was staggering. She even diagnosed this really rare skin condition on my shins called atrophic atrophans or something like that, i.e. Thinning of the skin. I had to put Vaseline and vit e on it. The testing done was super extensive and I was diagnosed with coinfections like Babesia and a virus I can't remember the name of.

There was a woman I met who I think paid around £20,000 to get treatment from the doctor- I think it might have been Iv antibiotics over there. She was English a and much iller than me, in a wheel chair.

I'm looking into if they can here. Did you yet?
This week a lot of thing have improved. Got to be the probiotics and maintaining some vitamins.

@cviechec
Hi
My dr said it doesn't exist in this country, so there's no test. I did discover other issues though, but nothing that explains everything.

Certain things have improved, others not, some new, some come and go, but I'm still functioning. What to do...
