Hello!

Do you periodically, during spikes or constantly, feel a decrease in the sound quality, as if the sound was slightly distorted and you can't perceive the entire harmony / dynamic range?

This is especially noticeable when listening to music or watching a video on the Internet.

Just saw your very old post somewhere at the bottom of the page: that happens to me after noise exposure. The fine frequencies at either end of the spectrum (very low and very high frequencies) feel dimmed and the central frequencies enhanced. This is somehow the result of noise exposure, in my individual case, not sure if it is a general trend for everyone with hearing problems, and particularly with hyperacusis.

It feels like after getting tinnitus and suffering from several acoustic traumas that music sounds tinny. Do you guys feel like music doesn't sound the same?

I think my inner hair cells are damaged pretty badly. This is so depressing... Music used to be very pleasurable. Now it is like half as good, at best.

I agree. Actually the music itself sounds normal to me as long as it's on high-quality speakers, but there's whistling distortion over all the instruments and it causes ear pain. Extremely depressing for a wannabe musician.
