Do You Like Snow?

I love the winter. Here is a video I put together last winter when I was in some skiing resort here in Norway with my family. Love skiing. There is a saying that Norwegians are born with skis on the feet. :D

I live in the Southern US... If it gets below 40 F it's too cold for me.... Few times I've been up north during the winter, I was miserable.

Yes, I like to see snow briefly, but couldn't deal with it all winter.

You get used the to cold tempratures. After one week you are good to go. It's the same when I go south and its 30-40 celcius. The first week I can't do anything because it's to hot. It takes some days to get used to.

That was a sick video! Awesome!

Thought the song was great for it as well :)

You know, Finns do love their skiing too! Too bad we so often lose to Norwegians... :D

This cartoon reminds me of when I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY in January, 1975. It snowed over night. There was about a half inch of snow on the ground. I went to work, and when I arrived in the company area, only the Top SGT was around. They had closed the post, because very few knew how to drive in snow (my lovely bride, a southern California native, included.) Who new.

I detest the cold and snow. Too many years in the freezing "tundra" of PA while I was a boy. then later when I returned for seven years, took the delight from me of looking at snow fall.

I am enjoying all your snow photos. I love snow -- when I visit it! I grew up with plenty of it and don't miss an entire winter filled with the white stuff. Occasional trips from Florida suit me fine.

I did notice @jimH here at TT lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, very rugged and beautiful. One of my favorite places to hike. In the summer.

This is where I spent Jan. 1, 2015: Canoeing on the Loxahatchee, a National Wild and Scenic Waterway that is just north of my home.

thanks for all the replies, now that its good and cold my neighbour has a huge ice rink in the backyard for skating and hockey, now thats winter !

I live in the Southwest. The "winters" here chill me to the bone, so I'd probably die in a place that snows.:arghh:
It's pretty in pictures. I like the ones on this thread.

One of my least favorite Winter Wonderlands...Hohenfels, Germany

I believe it is now known as the Hohenfels Joint Training Center but when I played there in the early 1970's it was known as the Hohenfels MTA (Major Training Area)
