I think it all depends on how long you have been taking Xanax, but your psychiatrist would know this best. As long as your body has the time to adapt it should be fine. My advice would be; make sure you have those big 1 gram vitamin C pills in your house, and always with you in your handbag. If you start feeling like you're floating off the ground and your tinnitus spikes (glutamate cascade), take two of those, and keep taking two every day until you're o.k again.
It's really a simple thing but it's the most likely method to date to help against glutamate toxicity.

Hey @Cityjohn, I know you said this over a year ago but I was thinking about it recently.

I know it's been over a year now and recently I remembered what you said about Vitamin C. I only took it briefly and then stopped for a long time but can't remember why I stopped. I think it was because I was having some success with some other medications and supplements at the time and I was taking so many I decided to drop Vitamin C. @Cityjohn I was wondering. Is it possible to taper faster from klonopin using Vitamin C? Also, will continuous use of Vitamin C over time improve brain health and if so, how long would it need to be taken for?
Btw, I did end up taking Campral for maybe 10 days and I didn't notice anything good or bad from taking it. I'm not sure if it would have helped if I would have taken it longer or not.
