Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone here has had any success with sleep by putting their mattress on an incline or using a pillow wedge of some sort?

In the morning I wake up to my tinnitus beeping and when I elevate my myself it seems to stop. This only occurs when I'm lying down in the morning after sleep.

Does anyone else experience this?

Thank you.

Here is what I was advised by a Proton Specialist. Elevate your head by 10 to 15 degrees. This helps prevent natural brain swelling while sleeping (1-2 mm) thereby reducing pressure on the acoustic nerve. I notice that in the morning upon waking my T is reduced but when getting up it again becomes severe and life altering. My T is a result of an acoustic neuroma that was treated with proton therapy.

@Skip G Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I think the beeping is waking me up when I'm in light stages of sleep. Like the blood flow isn't good in there from lying down all night.

Mine is quiet when I wake up. So I leap out of bed thinking "It's going to be a good day!" and right away, up goes the volume...

It's early days for me, I'm learning!

Btw I normally use two pillows.

I was sleeping in an incline before tinnitus, due to my allergies. So it works for my tinnitus. You would think I would have neck problems, but I don't.

Does anyone else have any experience with pillow wedges or bed elevators? Others must have tried this?
