Nothing special about a pothole, just that your tinnitus is reactive at least to noises in that frequency.

Hi, thanks for replying. It seems that the jarring motion of driving on an uneven surface shook up my tinnitus. It happens if I bang my head accidentally as well or other such head trauma...

I researched the side effects of Pepsi and aspercreme, and both have tinnitus as a side effect over long term use. I believe these products contain the same substance as aspirin, which can also cause tinnitus. My general doctor and ENT originally told me not to worry, and that after a few weeks, it would go away. Well, 14 months later there is no improvement...

I've had numerous spikes as a result of minor shocks like that (e.g., slamming heavy metal doors). They all turned out to be temporary. Note, temporary spikes can last for over three months.

Hi, I was checked for hearing loss, and the right side scored abnormally low the test. Not very low, but below normal. As for 3 month spikes, thankfully so far I haven't had any last that long...
