All was going good, ears had a mild ringing that was liveable.

Then the Mrs. wants to take a hike for a 2 hour walk. OK says I and off we go.

About 20 minutes out I get real strong pain in my chest, the ringing goes up beyond 10.

Next thing I know I'm in the hospital with probes and needles sticking out of me.

What could be more exciting than this.

That's so unfortunate. You ok now?

I'm still in the hospital looks like for a couple of days. Could be blocked artery in the heart. More tests tomorrow.

Thanks fishbone.

I wish you the best of luck, thank goodness you are being taken card off. You know sometimes stress, anxiety can also possibly cause pain/tightness.

I sure do hope that things work out well for you! Please let us know how you make out.
Looks like I ain't going anywhere soon. Had to beg to be let out for some fresh air but could not go out without my wife with me. It's like lockdown.

Sorry to hear that. Have the chest pains and Tinnitus spike subsided somewhat by now?

Yes chest pain has subsided but still can't walk, tinnitus has gone totally silent but I haven't any idea as to why. It's definitely strange.
Getting old ain't for sissies, hell I just turned 72 a few days back. That ain't old is it?
Thanks for asking, hope your new year brings relief.

Glad to hear that your chest pain and Tinnitus spike have subsided.
The probable reason your spike subsided is because your stress level ramped down significantly once your chest pain diminished.

Stress can definitely cause a spike and even exacerbate a pre-existing one. Just use the search feature and type in "stress and Tinnitus spike" and you'll see that there are pages of threads regarding it.

That said, I'm hoping that you'll get some good news from your test results ....(y)

If you could see this hospital and the way it's ran you'd be looking for the quickest escape route you could find. They have me stressed out to max because no one seems to have an answer. My tinnitus is full blown again. Please send lawyers, guns and money.

So sorry to hear. You must be in the ER and they better have cardiologists on staff . It sounds like your wife will make sure you get the attention you need. And 72 is young! Wishing every goes well for you.

Lessons learned... please be VERY assertive when it comes to your medical treatment... 2nd and 3rd opinions... question everything... X-ray? Get a lead shield... MRI... well earplugs... sigh.

Seriously... if this hospital seems like they are out of their league, go somewhere else... it will all cost the same whether you get the doc you graduated last, or the doc at the top of his class.

Hospitals suck for sleeping... let's probe and stick the patient every frikken hour...

Are you in ICU, or what level room?

Good luck.

So far I feel like a used pin cushion from injections into the stomach area to keep from blood clots. I can't keep up with what they pouring down me.
This one pill is for blood thinning, this another one for something else. But when they tried to put me on statins I went on the warpath over it. I've PTSD from the service and although I try to maintain myself there comes a point when the ice becomes very thin.

I'm like Charles from M.A.S.H.
Mom dad get me the hell out of here!!
Unfortunately my parents are gone.

The wife is trying to keep me under control. Well at least I'm still alive. But my tinnitus is screaming, even my masking white noise isn't helping.
