Yesterday I had my dad pick me up some disposable earplugs from the store. When he brought them home I saw how big they were and and decided that I didn't want them in my ears. Well I went against that instinct and tried them anyway. I put them in and took them out after a few seconds. I made sure to do it properly. As soon as they were out though, I felt pressure in my ears, especially in my right ear. It felt super clogged and I could hardly hear out if it. I tried the irrigation technique, pouring some hydrogen peroxide and then water in. I was able to unclog my right ear, but both ears still feel messed up and my hearing is very muffled.

My hope is that it's just earwax that was pushed all the way in, but I'm worried that somehow I actually lost hearing by inserting and removing the earplugs.

I already have an appointment on Friday with a regular doctor to get my ears cleaned (I'm going to ask for a manual cleaning), but I'm sort of silently panicking that I have serious SNHL. I don't know know if I'd be able to find an appointment at an ENT before Friday anyway. I'm worried that I'm going to find out that it wasn't earwax but that my hearing just decided to give out and that I'm going to be screwed.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Any recommendations on how to get Prednisone as quickly as possible?
