Ear Wax Removal — Using Oils in My Ears Prior to the Cleaning? Anyone with Experience?

Will using oils in my ears make my ears feel clogged? I have to get a cleaning soon and it was suggested that I use mineral, baby or olive oil 7-10 days prior to cleaning.

I'm paranoid about putting anything in my ears since the onset of tinnitus.

Anyone with advice or experience using oil/s and how did it go having a cleaning done by your ENT...

Olive oil would be the best from the chemist 2-3 times a day for a week to 20 days prior to wax removal so soften up any crusted wax .

Ty for your response @glynis! Is it possible that the oil will remove the ear wax naturally without having an ENT remove it? Trying to avoid the removal manually without having my ENT do it. Afraid of him doing it, as he doesn't seem symapathic towards tinnitus patients.
