Hi everyone,
I'm really panicking because a few weeks ago, during a stressful and busy period, my earplugs accidentally went through the washing machine. They looked fine, so I kept using them as usual. On Wednesday, I attended a work event (an awards show) that was quite loud in parts.
Today, I finally had some free time to call my earplug provider to double-check, expecting they would reassure me that they were still fine and didn't need replacing. However, they told me the earplugs are now ineffective, offering zero hearing protection because the filters were likely damaged. I've noticed my tinnitus seems louder since the event.
I'm feeling really distressed and dismayed. Is there any chance they still provided at least a little protection compared to wearing no earplugs at all?
Thanks so much.
