I woke up this morning feeling weird. I am feeling light headed and slightly disorientated and my head and ears feel full and I am hearing a low hum as if my head is emitting a very low hum which gets worse when I hear low pitched sounds like the kettle boiling or the microwave oven on as my ears start rumbling.

I am actually freaking out. Hopefully it is nothing and just a symptom of a head cold but I'm not sure. I bought myself Bluetooth wireless in-ear ear phones and was wearing before going to sleep last night.

I am wondering if that is the cause. Please advise.

I eventually felt better and the low rumbling in my ear disappeared. However it has happened again and I think I actually know what is causing it.

I think it's with me clenching my teeth in my sleep due to stress and anxiety that is causing this because I woke this morning with the same low rumble in my ears which is made worse when the kettle is on or the air conditioning fan is running in the bathroom.

I had mentioned that I have problems with clenching my teeth (bruxism) to the doctor at the emergency room (A&E) yesterday and she said that could be the cause of the low rumbling noise and not my earphones.
